The forensic pathologist is a subspecialist in pathology whose area of special competence is the examination of persons who die suddenly, unexpectedly or violently. The forensic pathologist is an expert medical doctor in determining cause and manner of death.

Forensic pathology is pathology that focuses on determining the cause of death by examining a corpse. A post mortem examination is performed by a medical examiner or forensic pathologist, usually during the investigation of criminal law cases and civil law cases in some jurisdictions.

This Forensic Pathology Certificate level course is ideal for you if you want to learn more about Forensic Pathology at an introductory or foundation level. We’ve separated this Forensic Pathology course into 6 modules, covering all the essential elements of Forensic Pathology. Entry Requirements:                         Students and Graduates in Law, Psychology or Social Work, Biomedical Sciences, Medical doctors, police officers, nurses and other healthcare students or practitioners / professionals and age not less than 21 years, and Fluency of the English language is essential.

The current 2023 all-inclusive Course Fee for new Students is as follows:

For Non-IMH Students: Rs. 25,000/-

For Previous IMH Students: Rs. 20,000/- (Discounted course fee)

For Overseas / International Students: USD $85

Course fees has to be paid in full by cash, cheque, credit / debit card or via a bank transfer payment.

Final Course Assessment / Evaluation

There are only three separate assignments to be completed at home and submitted to the IMH for evaluation. Once a “pass” grade has been achieved for all three assignments the Internationally Accredited Certificate in Forensic Pathology will be awarded to the registered student.
