Course Title : Certificate in Health Psychology (CHP)
For whom (target group) : Health psychology is a branch of applied psychology concerned with understanding biological, psychological, and social factors that are involved in physical health and prevention of illness. Health psychologists study the factors that allow people to be healthy, recover from an illness or cope with a chronic condition. Health psychologists help patients of all ages and with varying psychological or physical health issues respond to and manage the psychological aspects of their illness.
Entry Requirements: University Medical or Nursing Graduates or Members of recognized Professional healthcare bodies, or Holders of a recognized Certificate / Diploma in Psychology or Counselling, and Age not less than 22 years, and Fluency of the English language is essential.
Course Duration : 3.5 Months – part time study
Contact Hours : 3 Hrs. per week
Total No. of Classes : 13 class-contact sessions (13 weeks duration only)
Total No. of Contact Hrs. : 39 Hrs. of Lectures and discussion time
Class Times : Fridays: 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 pm

Mode of Final Examination and Assessment
The award of the IMH Certificate in Health Psychology (CHP) will be contingent upon passing a 3 hour internally set unseen Essay type final Examination paper to be answered on a closed book examination mode at the IMH premises.
Regular Group Course Fees : Rs. 38,000/- + Rs. 1,000/- for registration (Could be paid by cash, credit card or cheque in three equal installments of Rs. 13,000/-)
Next Course Start Date : Group Class: Friday 24th May 2018 (A maximum of 12 students will be enrolled for the group class)
